Every day, the Cosmos community grows stronger. Our vision of a future interoperable for blockchain development is already becoming a reality as more and more blockchain ecosystems activate IBC. Today’s Cosmos Signal keynote featured a partnership between Forte and blockchain gaming platform Forte. This partnership will allow Forte’s industry-leading technology to be added to our growing ecosystem. These are the details.

Forte Enables Economic Community

Forte, a leading blockchain gaming platform has made a name for themselves by raising $185M in Series B funding from Griffin Gaming Partners. It already has more than 25 top-notch game developers working on it, including Will Wright (SimCity and The Sims), Jeff Tunnell, Starsiege: Tribes (Social City), and Hi-Rez Studios, (Smite, Paladins). Forte is an end-to-end solution to token-based game economies, NFTs and other creative opportunities.

Forte was launched a little more than a year ago. It provides the necessary infrastructure to game developers such as cryptocurrency wallets. These wallets store virtual assets and NFTs in a safe, compliant, and easy-to-use package. Forte has seen rapid growth. It already has more than 10,000,000 wallets and over 5 million NFTs. Forte also has over 8 million monthly active users in its partner games. To make this partnership possible, Tendermint (one of Cosmos’ key collaborators) and the Interchain Foundation(ICF), have joined forces.

What the Partnership With Forte Means For Cosmos

Forte’s collaboration with Cosmos will allow us to reach a wider audience as well as cement our position as a leader in blockchain ecosystems. There are more than three billion gamers worldwide by 2023. Already, we have built some of the best tools in the industry, including Cosmos SDK and Starport. These tools allow developers and entities to build their own sovereign chains and connect to our expanding network. We want to make it easy for game developers to also join Cosmos.

Forte’s partnership will allow Cosmos to reach a wider audience, and cement our position as a leader in blockchain technology. Starport and Cosmos SDK are two of the most popular tools in blockchain development. Peng Zhong, CEO at Tendermint, stated that now we want to make it easier to allow game developers and players to join Cosmos.”

Cosmos developers will work with Forte to ensure that all third-party game developers on the Forte platform can access Cosmos’ technology and easily integrate their games with the Cosmos network. Forte will also add ATOM and other Cosmos-enabled currencies, such as stablecoins, to the Forte network to be used as payment, liquidity, or collateral for users, greatly increasing the utility of the ATOM token, and helping create a better experience for developers and players. Cosmos Hub wallets and accounts will also be integrated into the Forte wallet architecture.

“Forte and Cosmos share a vision of applications and economies built around passionate communities. Now that the technology is mature, I’m thrilled to work with Forte who can onboard the next generation of game developers and users, bringing Cosmos gaming to the mainstream,” said Billy Rennekamp, Grants Manager on the Board of Management at ICF.

“We’re thrilled to be partnering with Cosmos to bring their technologies to our community of developers, players, and fans,” said Josh Williams, Forte’s CEO and Cofounder. “Our alignment on scalability, usability, and interoperability makes them an ideal partner in building a more sustainable and equitable ecosystem for games, and the billions of people who play them.”
